Blossoming on a Budget

I am FINALLY working to get more content on here for you! December is a BUSY month in event world and it’s just not possible to keep up!

Linked below is my full hair routine from shower to shower. The first thing is to remember that not everyone’s hair is the same. This might work well for me but not at all for someone else! If you have your product routine down then great! If you’re looking for suggestions, then here are mine! I have shared a lot of these styling products with people and haven’t heard one negative response!

Shower Time!

The Total Results Mega Sleek Shampoo and Total Results Mega Sleek Conditioner above will change your world. Literally (and yes, I mean “like literally” like my husband always says)! After only using this product once I had noticeably sleeker and non-frizzy hair. After using this a few times now, I can say that my hair holds a non-frizz sleek and fuller look for DAYS! Yes, DAYS! Many of us ladies know that you aren’t supposed to wash your hair every day. With this hair routine I have been able to go at max 7 DAYS with perfect hair!

Alright, even after flipping my hair over 1,000 times (literally babe) my hair is still SOAKED! It’s because I have super think but fine hair so if I opted to let it air dry this could take hours (like the length of a Harry Potter movie marathon kind of hours). Before brushing my hair out I use the Total Results Miracle Creator Multi-Tasking Treatment . This treatment helps me get the knots out of the hair (probably from towel drying beforehand since I can typically run my fingers through my hair after conditioning it) after showing.

Once all the knots are out I will typically air dry my hair for an hour or two (typically during The Bachelor/Bachelorette, Dancing with the Stars or when both of those are on a break its back to Grey’s Anatomy). From there I CANNOT sleep with my hair wet. I just hate that my pillow gets soaked, and that my hair is a wild mess in the morning. Since my hair has been drying for an hour or two I then spray the Style Link Prep Heat Buffer Thermal Styling Spray into my hair and lightly blow dry.

Style my pretty!

Alright, its typically the next morning and I have 3 go to hair styles recently. Straight (typically the first day or 2 after showering), Curly (my preferred style and I typically can get this to last days with this product routine) and in a bun (some days I work in our warehouse at work and other days this is just laziness). Before each of these I continue to spray the heat shield every day and IF my hair is curly, I will spray the Multi-tasker in each night to brush out the curls and hair spray. I sleep with my hair down and redo each day! Pictures of my hair straight and curly below.

The products listed above such as the Style Link Texture Builder Messy Finish Spray I use for texture and grit to curl my hair. The Style Link Mineral Rough Me Up Salt Infused Spray is used for the same concept. These products really help hold my curls longer and and texture along the way! Lastly are my hairsprays, I go between 2. The Style Link Perfect Volume Fixer Volume Hairspray most of the time with curls. I find this one works better in that department. Then the Total Results High Amplify Proforma Firm Hold Hairspray on straight hair or on top of the other hairspray on curls.

Style Tools!

I am always trying out new style tools (and I hope to be trying out some more shortly with Christmas and my Birthday right around the corner)! I don’t have the best hair flat iron yet but the two I switch on and off using are linked below.

The one on the left is a titanium flat iron and the left is ceramic. Typically, titanium works WAY better in my hair but since switching my routine and having healthier hair I have been using the less harsh heat product being the ceramic.

Now for curling wands. I have had this Conair wand for YEARS. It has traveled the world with me but unfortunately it took its last breath a few weeks ago. Since then I have been doing straightener curls because I am in the market for a new straightener and have my eye on the one below. Products are listed below, but I WILL be switching to the Lange wand soon so expect some tutorials on that.

Now onto my next exciting adventure. I will have some tutorials rolling out soon for my straightening routine, curling want routine, straightener routine and a multiple bun routine. OK, lets get straight to the point.

Some people think I am crazy but when I enter a store the first thing I think of is “what’s my shopping budget today?”. In reality this can be one full priced item (almost never in my case ~ I only get the best deals!) or multiple sale or clearance items that make up that amount.

There is a huge stigma to a ‘shopping budget’ or ‘shopping clearance’ as people believe they just won’t find what they want easily… WRONG. In my time through life I have always been known to find the best bargains and I created this page to share them with you. Follow my three-step process below and I am sure that you all will be thanking me along the way!

The 3 step process.

Many of you have already completed step 1.

STEP 1: Subscribe to emails.

Everyone knows the struggle of hearing the ‘DING’ on their smartphone prompting them that they have gotten an email. And everyone knows the struggle of sitting there to delete all 30-50 emails that they probably won’t even open. THIS HAPPENS TO ME TOO! Don’t get me wrong, these people send A LOT of emails. BUT, it’s more likely for you to find a needle in a hay stack deal here then not getting them at all.

Subscribing to your favorite places will let you know when they have deals, offers and clearance events. HELLO who wouldn’t want to know these things?! This is where the majority of my finds steam. That brings us to step 2.

STEP 2: Make a wish list.

This isn’t a literal wish list. UGH HOW BORING, anyone could make one of those. I call those ‘lists’ grocery lists. As much as I LOVE grocery store Joe (if you know me you know you’re in for all of The Bachelor references) this style just isn’t for me. I lose or misplace paper before I even set it down. For me, this is a mental list or most likely screenshots on my phone reminding me of a specific item I was shopping for and loved or one that I am in the market to get. Keeping tabs on these items I am able to watch for when they go on sale and when its time to purchase these said items. Which brings us to the step that is probably as equally important as step 1..

STEP 3: Rewards systems.

WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF COURTNEY! EVERYWHERE and I mean EVERYWHERE you go or shop you should be asking if there is a reward program (NOT a credit card, a REWARD card)! THIS IS FREE MONEY PEOPLE!!!! Still working on teaching this lifestyle to my husband and father in law BUT it makes total sense… Take a look at the simple equation below.

Spend money –> Earn points = RECEIVE MONEY OFF!!!!

I get it. You don’t get this money if you don’t spend money… Hence not really free…. BUT NOT TRUE! It’s not like I’m asking you to shop somewhere you weren’t going to before. If you’re going to spend $20 on jeans now, why shouldn’t they get you a free shirt later? If you’re going to eat out at that restaurant tonight so you don’t have to wash dishes at home, why not get $10 off your next meal which could be with family or another night you just don’t want to wash dishes (I really hate washing dishes if you can’t tell… guilty.).

FREE MONEY PEOPLE, this is how I can come home with a bag full of new clothes and household goods and ask my husband “how much do you think I got ALL this new stuff for?! Go ahead and guess!” and you know what his answer has become? Any number UNDER 10 DOLLARS! That’s right. I can come home with bags on bags all for under $10!!

Stick with me.. Learn the ways of the three-step process and get a few additional deals along the way. There is no reason this page can’t be for everyone. I will show you deals on clothing (mostly female since that is me and that’s what you get LOL, and a dash of men’s clothing that I pick up for my hubby when he’s lucky) household goods, restaurants and grocery and most likely anything in between! I JUST LOVE DEALS, so if I see it, it’s getting posted. All I ask of you all is, if you see something a deal or offer that you just can’t believe, SHARE IT WITH ME and it WILL BE SHARED with the public!
